Programme Details

All meetings start at 9.30am unless otherwise stated and usually finish at around 4pm. Meetings are open to all and are free unless otherwise stated. Bring hand-lens, notebooks and field guides if you wish, relevant OS 1:25000 maps and a GPS if you have one. Suitable clothing and footwear is recommended and bring a packed lunch. Sunday 1st August 2010 - 10am to 2pm Widemouth Bay (SS10)
Summer plant identification walk with Ian Bennallick.
Leader: Where: Meet at coastal car park (the free one!), north of Widemouth Bay, SS199032. No Dogs.
Meeting organised for Cornwall Council.
Saturday 7th August 2010 - Millook, Penhalt Cliff and Wanson Mouth (SS10)
An area of dramatic cliffs which need updated records.
Leader: Where: Meet at The Barn House, Higher Penhalt Farm, Poundstock, SS191000

Saturday 14th August 2010 - 10am to 1pm Churchtown Farm, Saltash (SX45)
A morning walk around Churchtown Farm with the Friends of Churchtown Farm
Leader: Where: Meet at Wearde Road, SX421580 (on road to Community College).
After lunch the Botanical Cornwall Group will continue recording in the local area.
Sunday 15th August 2010 - Brown Willy (SX17/SX18).
An attempt to look for Beech Fern Phegopteris connectilis which was last recorded here in 1930.
Leader: Where: Meet at car park Rough Tor, SX138818.
If the weather is forecast to be bad then we will not attempt to go on the high moor, but will record in the local area towards Camelford.
Wednesday 8th September 2010 - Zennor (SW43)
A walk along the coast at Zennor Head to Gurnard’s Head and inland to Zennor Hill and Foage Farm.

Saturday 2nd October 2010 - 10.30am. Luxulyan Valley (SX05)
A morning woodland walk organised with the Friends of Luxulyan Valley
Leader: Where: Meet at Blackhill car park, SX058573
After lunch the Botanical Cornwall Group will continue recording in the valley and will be looking out for Tunbridge Filmy-fern Hymenophyllum tunbrigense.
