Botanical Cornwall Group was formed in early 2002 by a group of Cornish botanists. It is a collaboration between, but not exclusive to, former local groups representing The Botanical Society of the British Isles and The British Pteridological Society.

The group's primary purpose is to co-ordinate botanical recording within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. A main activity is the field meeting and full details are contained within the site.

Membership of the group is open to anyone with a interest in the subject and is on an informal basis.

It is intended to publish regular newsletters. These will report on group activities and on significant botanical records in the county.
